"Flying" to go to work, received the delivery of drones... Low altitude "take off" in front of the "blue ocean"

Low-altitude economy to "fly" up.

Wang Taiming, vice president of Shenzhen UAV Industry Association, was deeply touched by this: "since the beginning of this year, the enthusiasm for developing low-altitude economy has been very high, and the interaction among the government, industry associations and enterprises has become more and more frequent, and the cooperation has become closer and closer."

At present, how far has the low-altitude economy developed? How long will it take to commute by "air taxi"? How much cargo can the UAV with stretchable fuselage "carry" at most? How can the UAV become an unmanned ship?

These questions may be answered at the 2024 World Smart Industry Expo. Here, drones and manned aircraft tell the story of the "city in the sky", and companies that are ready to take off are expected to make the industry "grow vertically".

The blue sea ahead, the course pointing to the sky.

To the sky to develop new products emerge in endlessly

In the N26 low-altitude economic exhibition area of the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin), many companies such as Yifei Intelligent Control, Yihang Intelligence, and Honeycomb Aerospace unveiled new technologies and new products.

"Open this box and have a look." At the Yifei Intelligence Control booth, the company's general manager Zhang Yun pushed a box like a 5-layer drawer to the reporter. After opening, an agile bee IV cluster performance drone quietly "lying" inside. This drone is a new model developed by Yifei Intelligent Control this year. It is equipped with an emergency parachute system for the first time. The 20 million-color high-power LED light body is fully covered. It is expected to achieve mass production by the end of this year.

"Don't underestimate the matching box of this unmanned aerial vehicle, which can reduce the cost by 30%." Zhang Yun said that in the past, unmanned aerial vehicles had to be placed on the ground before performing, and after performing, they had to be manually taken back into the box. And this drone can take off directly from the box. After the performance, it will automatically fly back to the box, saving half of the manpower and completing the deployment in 3 seconds. Thousands of drones occupy no more than 300 square meters.

At the China Aviation Communications booth not far from Yifei Intelligent Control, an audience pointed to a logistics transportation drone named KELL MAX and asked: "Is this big kayak looking like a drone?"

"Yes, this is a little expert in carrying goods." Li Nan, the major account manager of China Aviation Innovation (Tianjin) Technology Development Co., Ltd., said that its volume is variable, carrying things on the top and hanging things on the bottom, which can meet the load demand of 30kg to 130kg. What is more "black technology" is that it can be "changeable in one machine". After removing the arms on both sides and installing other structural parts, it can become an unmanned ship. According to reports, this product is currently in the testing stage and is expected to be mass-produced by the end of July. There are now more than 10 prospective customers.

During the interview, many exhibitors said that the World Intelligent Industry Expo had many highlights, and most of the low-altitude sections exhibited were cutting-edge products and technologies in the industry. Wang Taiming summed up this as "exhibitors are big brands, products are full of new vitality".

For example, the "air taxi" exhibited by Yihang Intelligence attracted many spectators to sit on it and experience it. "This unmanned manned aircraft, called the EH216-S, is the only aircraft in the world in the field of manned electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft to receive three major airworthiness passes. In the future, people will be able to commute at the nearest station to them or do low-altitude sightseeing in scenic spots. It has a maximum range of 30km and can be fully charged in 2 hours." He Tianxing, vice president of Yihang Intelligence, said that so far, "EH216-S" has flown more than 47000 times, and the company is continuing to promote its commercial operations. "We have plans to cooperate in Tianjin, hoping that through this Expo, we can promote our products to more application scenarios."

To the market to space, many scenes thick planting ecological circle

Yan Liqiang is the person in charge of Tianjin Jitu Supply Chain Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jitu). On June 22, he appeared at the same event of the World Intelligent Industry Expo-Ninghe District Low-altitude Economic Application Scene Conference.

It has been more than a month since the "UAV Express Delivery" test was carried out in Ninghe Modern Industrial Park. The seven test drones fly at an altitude of no more than 100 meters and fly at a distance of 3 kilometers to 5 kilometers. In the past, six people were responsible for express delivery in this park, but now three people are enough.

"Today, we signed a cooperation intention agreement with the park management committee and the investment-funded unmanned aerial vehicle enterprises, and plan to launch 30 unmanned aerial vehicles to deliver express delivery in the industrial park." Yan Liqiang said that Jitu handles nearly one million express orders in and out of Tianjin every day, of which about 60% are within the scope of villages and towns. They plan to "deliver express by unmanned aerial vehicle" to the advanced park and then enter the village. In his view, Tianjin's rich low-altitude application scenarios have brought huge development space to enterprises.

At present, Tianjin has built and formed multi-format application scenarios such as high-end business, tourism, high-efficiency logistics, aerial surveying and mapping, agriculture, forestry and plant protection, port management, maritime inspection, smart city, patrol inspection and other fields around "low-altitude logistics, low-altitude agriculture, low-altitude cultural tourism, low-altitude governance" and so on.

Last year, the number of unmanned aerial vehicle flights in Binhai New Area reached 143000, with a total of 77000 hours of flight. Among them, Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City has started the daily inspection of unmanned aerial vehicles since 2019. There are now 283 fixed routes, flying more than 5000 unmanned aerial vehicles and taking nearly 20000 photos in the past four years.

The rich application scenarios make more and more low-altitude industry-related enterprises focus on Tianjin. At present, Tianjin has hundreds of enterprises related to low-altitude industries, including more than a dozen large manufacturers, and the industrial categories of supporting enterprises are perfect. Last year, the output value of general aviation and unmanned aviation manufacturing industry was about 2 billion yuan.

"With a UAV design drawing, Tianjin can complete about 70% of the industrial chain supporting production." Speaking is Zhao yang, regional director of honeycomb aerospace technology (Beijing) co., ltd. Five years ago, the company established a production base in Tianjin. At this World Intelligent Industry Expo, their oil-electric hybrid multi-rotor drones that can hover in the air attracted the attention of many viewers.

The low-altitude economy is appearing in our real life with a rapid development. "Flying" to go to work, received a drone delivery, sitting "air taxi" overlooking the mountains and rivers ...... These sci-fi movies appear in the scene is no longer mysterious, ready to take off the low-altitude economy will become the new engine of future industrial growth.

Drones: from consumer to professional

Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is a kind of aircraft without direct human control, which can fly through autonomous control or remote control. With the continuous development of technology, unmanned aerial vehicles are becoming more and more popular, and the application scenarios are becoming more and more extensive. According to different application scenarios and functional requirements, there are different types of UAVs. The following are the main types of drones:

Remote Sensing UAV: "Elf" Great Use

In recent years, unmanned aerial vehicle platforms carrying photographic equipment and other mission payloads, remotely controlled by pilots or autonomously controlled by flight control systems, have played an increasingly important role in remote sensing applications such as surveying and mapping, disaster reduction and emergency response, and have become new members of the remote sensing family. UAVs are known as the "elves" of the remote sensing family because of their small maneuverability, low-altitude flight, high spatial and temporal resolution, and diverse and flexible payload configurations ". However, this "elf" is of great use!

Focus on consumer drones on the battlefield

Consumer unmanned aerial vehicles are usually small in size, flexible in flight mode, and extremely difficult to use photoelectric detection. The power device usually uses electric motors with extremely small noise and is difficult to find through acoustic detection. The fuselage is mostly made of non-conductor materials, and the flight speed is slow and the flight altitude is low, making it difficult for radar to find. The communication control link usually uses civil signals, with low signal power, insignificant signal characteristics and difficult to find by long-distance radio frequency monitoring.

Civil Aviation Administration Releases Statistical Report on Civil Unmanned Aircraft Operator and Cloud System Data (2023)

In terms of operating data of the drone cloud exchange system, as of the end of 2023, a total of Youyun, Youkai, Polar Flying Cloud, Tuo Attack Cloud, Zhongke Skynet, All Flying Cloud and U-FSC UAV cloud systems have joined the exchange system, with a total of about 245000 UAVs participating in the data sharing of the exchange system throughout the year.

Shenzhen UAV Industry Enters Flower Age, More than 1730 Enterprises Output Value 96 billion Yuan

Experts predict that the next 10 to 20 years will be the golden period for the development of drones. There is huge room for growth in applications in emergency response, logistics, plant protection, inspection, disaster prevention and mitigation, geological meteorology and other industries. In this colorful era, the ever-rising drone technology will break through the existing boundaries and move towards a smarter, more remote, and more environmentally friendly direction, bringing a broader development space for human society.
